Excerpted from Fox News: It was a vast boat that saved two of each animal and a handful of humans from a catastrophic flood.

But forget all those images of a long vessel with a pointy bow — the original Noah’s Ark, new research suggests, was round.

A recently deciphered 4,000-year-old clay tablet from ancient Mesopotamia — modern-day Iraq — reveals striking new details about the roots of the Old Testament tale of Noah. It tells a similar story, complete with detailed instructions for building a giant round vessel known as a coracle — as well as the key instruction that animals should enter “two by two.”

The tablet went on display at the British Museum on Friday, and soon engineers will follow the ancient instructions to see whether the vessel could actually have sailed.

It’s also the subject of a new book, “The Ark Before Noah,” by Irving Finkel, the museum’s assistant keeper of the Middle East and the man who translated the tablet.

Finkel got hold of it a few years ago, when a man brought in a damaged tablet his father had acquired in the Middle East after World War II. It was light brown, about the size of a mobile phone and covered in the jagged cuneiform script of the ancient Mesopotamians.

It turned out, Finkel said Friday, to be “one of the most important human documents ever discovered.”

“It was really a heart-stopping moment — the discovery that the boat was to be a round boat,” said Finkel, who sports a long gray beard, a ponytail and boundless enthusiasm for his subject. “That was a real surprise.”

And yet, Finkel said, a round boat makes sense. Coracles were widely used as river taxis in ancient Iraq and are perfectly designed to bob along on raging floodwaters.

“It’s a perfect thing,” Finkel said. “It never sinks, it’s light to carry.”

Other experts said Finkel wasn’t simply indulging in book-promotion hype. David Owen, professor of ancient Near Eastern studies at Cornell University, said the British Museum curator had made “an extraordinary discovery.”

Elizabeth Stone, an expert on the antiquities of ancient Mesopotamia at New York’s Stony Brook University, said it made sense that ancient Mesopotamians would depict their mythological ark as round.

“People are going to envision the boat however people envision boats where they are,” she said. “Coracles are not unusual things to have had in Mesopotamia.”

The tablet records a Mesopotamian god’s instructions for building a giant vessel — two-thirds the size of a soccer field in area — made of rope, reinforced with wooden ribs and coated in bitumen.

Finkel said that on paper (or stone) the boat-building orders appear sound, but he doesn’t yet know whether it would have floated. A television documentary due to be broadcast later this year will follow attempts to build the ark according to the ancient manual. Keep reading

NEW YORK – Two new, classifed documents leaked by Egyptian security implicate President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton in the aiding and abetting of terrorists.

The documents have been entered as evidence in the criminal trials of former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and other top Muslim Brotherhood leaders, scheduled to begin next month in Cairo.

Obtained by Arabic-speaking former Palestinian Liberation Organization-member Walid Shoebat and posted Thursday on his website, the two leaked documents provide evidence Egyptian security forces have monitored the movements and activities of Obama’s half-brother, Malik Obama, and his Islamic Dawa Organization, or IDO.

The security forces also have kept an eye on the dealings with the Muslim Brotherhood of Essam El-Haddad, the father of Gehad El-Haddad, a senior adviser to the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States and a former employee of the William J. Clinton Foundation.

Shoebat referenced the publication of the leaked documents in Arabic by the Al-Masry Network in Egypt as evidence Malik Obama’s organization is the main sponsor of the effort to Islamize the Nuba area, Aswan and Luxor.

“The Aswan region is a territory in southeastern Egypt that borders northern Sudan, which includes a long stretch of the Nile River,” Shoebat wrote. “During the Mohammed Morsi regime, both Egypt and Sudan (under Omar al-Bashir) would have presented an opportunity to work toward the slow erasure of the border between the two nations. Such negotiations in Aswan would have predictably caused Egypt’s Security Forces great concern.”

Shoebat noted the Al-Masry report indicated that Malik Obama’s role with the Sudanese branch of IDO is much more significant than previously thought.

According to Shoebat’s translation from the original Arabic, the article says in part:

“Authorities within Egypt’s security apparatus have warned over the past two and a half years of the movements of the Islamic Dawa Organization (IDO), based in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, headed by businessman Kenyan owner Aboonju Obama (Malik), the elder brother of U.S. President Barack Obama, according to security authorities who are privy to the details of the investigation. One official said the organization and its president, a close friend of the President of Sudan Omar al-Bashir, support the Muslim Brotherhood with money, as well as the international organization of the group.” Keep Reading

Earlier this week, the New Yorker magazine released an interview with President Obama in which he claimed that the rotten, bigoted, racists who used to support him and vote for him were causing his poll numbers to nosedive.  It was ridiculous, and completely divorced from the reality of his administration’s ineptitude, but that was the argument.  Now, the magazine has released new excerpts from their piece, and the President has added a couple more culprits in an effort to explain his disastrously low approval ratings.

According to Obama, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News are to blame:

The president also complained that conservative media had created a “caricature” of him divorced from “reality” that made rallying voters from those areas particularly difficult.

  “The issue has been the inability of my message to penetrate the Republican base so that they feel persuaded that I’m not the caricature that you see on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, but I’m somebody who is interested in solving problems and is pretty practical, and that, actually, a lot of the things that we’ve put in place worked better than people might think,” Obama said.

Yep, according to the Commander in Chief, he simply can’t overcome the influence of Fox News, and a man the left likes to call a “radio entertainer.”

Someone should get the President on the horn and remind him that it’s not just Fox News that’s reporting the truth of his bungling. That may have been the case at one point, but lately NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and even MSNBC have been tearing into his failed administration on a regular basis. Scandal after scandal has convinced the people he governs - and portions of the normally faithful media - that Barack Obama is simply incompetent.

How else do you explain the fact that this week’s polling shows a majority of Americans view him as incapable, detached, and dishonest?

The Obama administration is not competent running the government, voters say 53 - 42 percent. The president is paying attention to what his administration is doing, 45 percent say, while 47 percent say he is not paying attention.

  46 percent say he is honest and trustworthy and 49 percent say he is not

As I said Monday, Obama’s numbers aren’t collapsing because people aren’t paying attention, and it’s not because they’ve bought into some false narrative proffered by the right.  The fact is that - while it took them far too long - people are finally admitting the truth of the President’s tenure.  His administration is rife with scandal, it’s headed by an empty suit, and its failing to comply with the wishes of the majority of Americans.

He can blame whoever he likes.  The fact is, as his failures mount, he’s finally starting to have a tough time shifting responsibility. If he had anything positive to offer as counterpoint, his arguments might carry some weight.  Sadly, that’s just not the case.

    Something that always puzzled me is how we, as Americans, allow the Federal Government to “flip the script” when it comes to appropriate rules of conduct.  The idea is that the officials (public servants) who we elect are supposed to be working for us, their constituents.  Put another way, they are our employees.  We, the people, are the boss; or, at least we are supposed to be.  So do the people that we elect act like employees, or do they act like overlords?  I guess that depends on your perspective.  However, I submit that if you owned a business you wouldn’t let your employees get away with what the people’s employees do.  Just saying.   Although the culture of self-aggrandizement by many elected officials seems to be at its zenith, we always have the opportunity to “throw the bums out” come next election… if they get too far off the rails.  Conversely, for the enormous list of alphabet agencies under the purview of the Feds there are no elections.  Only tremendous power, and little accountability.  In reality, what you have are unelected bureaucrats turning decision into law, outside the will of the people.  That sure sounds like the land of the free to me.  The EPA is one such powerful agency.  To cite a recent example of the EPA’s power, we need not to look any farther than Wyoming.  There, the EPA has changed the borders in the state of Wyoming.  Yes, you read that right.  In this instance, the EPA overturned Federal law enacted over 100 years ago.  How can the EPA overturn anything?  Does anyone else see the tyranny in this?  Let’s go over just a brief list of Federal agencies, and you decide if these monstrosities have made our lives better.

IRS- Unelected, private, and responsible for destroying our nation’s wealth.  Or, more appropriately, transferring it into their own hands.

NSA- Unelected, secretive, and responsible for destroying any modicum of privacy that exists in our modern time.

TSA- Unelected, unaccountable, unconstitutional, and the enforcement arm of the Feds.  Responsible for the erosion of our 4^th amendment.  If you ever become unfortunate enough to have a Jack-boot pressing your face into the concrete, it will likely be worn by someone from TSA

FDA- Unelected, unaccountable, and a proxy for Big Pharma and Big Aggro.  This agency is responsible for limiting choices that Americans have when it comes to our food and medicine.  Arguably, the FDA has been responsible for harming the average American’s health more than the tobacco industry.

Bureau of Land Management (BLM) - Unelected, increasingly militarized, and a major oppressor of Americans west of the Mississippi.  This bureaucracy is responsible for managing lands controlled by the Feds. The map of BLM controlled lands out west is somewhat staggering. Thankfully, warriors like Kirk MacKenzie are really making a difference in the fight and need our support.

UN (United Nations) - The head of the snake.  The grand-daddy of them all.  No other agency is more packed with unelected bureaucrats than the UN.  And, not surprisingly, more harm has been done to us, by them, than perhaps any agency on the globe.  One only needs to look at Agenda 21 and Common Core to get an idea of the work of this evil entity.

   As I said, this list is brief.  However, it should be enough for you to kick off your own investigation into the many agencies that work daily to undermine our Constitution.  To assist your studies, I am including a link to a list of Federal agencies, as outlined by Wikipedia.
