Egypt Deports Al-Jazeera TV Crew

CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian authorities say they have deported three members of a TV crew working for the English-language version of Qatar-based news broadcaster Al-Jazeera, after they were detained for nearly a week and accused of working illegally.
An official at the airport says Al-Jazeera English correspondent Wayne Hay, cameraman Adil Bradlow and producer Russ Finn left Cairo for London on Sunday. The three were detained Tuesday with an Egyptian colleague while covering events in Egypt.
The official says they were deported for working in Egypt without a permit or license to use satellite transmitters. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.
Last week, Egypt’s interim government called Al-Jazeera’s local Arabic language channel a threat to national security and ordered it closed.

The Syrian situation is a hotbed of horrid conflict. Once again the drama is taking the focus away from where it needs to be. When things get too hot to handle the good ol’ guvferment folk create ways to take the focus away from what needs to be stretched and reviewed as truth, as real leading to more drama. We already know how to hold for higher outcomes, so lets do it.
Things are moving right along, steadily, as they have been for some time. The pieces on the chess board are always being moved around and that brings on more checks and continued attempts to balance the play of one set of potentials against another. That has been the name of this game for many years. A project like this which now will touch into the hearts of over three hundred thousand people has become far reaching and has taken an enormous amount of time but rest assured it will be worth it.
Remind yourself that we signed on for this game and said we would do our part. Now, right now, it is time to do one’s part; cut the chatter and hold to the higher understanding that you already have otherwise you would not be here at this time.
We tend toward playing short sighted but no one in this program can be that. You are on the list because you have a compassionate heart. Remember daily and clearly that the players in this monopoly game are not two bit. They play for keeps. Mine and your job is to be holding a space for Those who have been labeled ‘white knights’ and who barter with power And the Money knowing the rudiments of the game realizing they too are playing for keeps. Would really appreciate some insight on this “sirratatap” and comments that dismiss the idea of there being REAL BONDS in the works. Moreover, they are claiming that the royal imperial oriental “family” has backed out of the GLOBAL RESET process and the Cabal is still moving towards a total bank collapse. Is this even possibly real?
THIS IS OF COURSE A LEGITIMATE CONCERN, BUT REST ASSURED, THE HISTORIC BONDS ARE QUITE REAL. THE CHINESE PUT THESE BONDS OUT A HUNDRED YEARS AGO, JUST LIKE MEXICO, GERMANY, RUSSIA, USA, ETC. States Marketing ‘ObamaCare’ With Other Names To Bolster Enrollment

Excerpted from FOX NEWS: States running their own insurance programs as part of the Affordable Care Act have marketing and enrollment strategies that are sidestepping references to the words “ObamaCare,” a term that has largely come to be associated with the unpopularity of the plan.
In Minnesota, state employees are promoting their health insurance marketplace as MNsure — even going to the annual state fair to hand out fans imprinted with pictures of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The grassroots effort is part of a larger, $9 million marketing effort that includes billboards and TV ads.
Minnesota, one of 13 states and the District of Columbia that is running its own health insurance marketplaces, thinks its marketing efforts will increase enrollment, which begins Oct. 1.
ObamaCare was designed to provide coverage to Americans who don’t have it from their employer or elsewhere. However, the rollout of the program, which begins January 1, has had some setbacks, including the delay of the provision requiring businesses to provide insurance.
And a small but vocal group of congressional Republicans are trying to “defund” ObamaCare before next month.
Vermont is scheduled this week to run radio and TV ads touting its exchange, Vermont Health Connect, as being “For Vermonters, By Vermonters.”
Oregon’s program features local musicians singing songs including “Long Live Oregonians.”
National polls show the public is wary about ObamaCare, including a Kaiser Family Foundation poll released last week that showed 42 percent of Americans disapprove of the law, compared to 37 percent favoring it.
Report: French Spies Claim Assad Has Massive Chemical Weapons Stockpile

Excerpted from Daily Mail: America last night said it had the first proof that sarin gas was used by Syria in an attack that killed more than 1,400 civilians.
Secretary of State John Kerry claimed samples of hair and blood provided to the US by people in Damascus had ‘tested positive’ for the nerve agent.
He said that President Bashar Assad has now ‘joined the list of Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein’ in deploying chemical weapons against his population. He added that the case for a military attack was getting ‘stronger by the day’ – which follows the leak of a report by French spies that Assad has stockpiled more than 1,000 tonnes of poison gas including sarin.
On Saturday, President Barack Obama said there would be no reprisals until Congress voted on military action after its summer break on September 9.
In theory, as commander-in-chief of US forces, he could ignore any vote that refuses to authorise missile strikes.
Opposition politicians warned the president might struggle to secure backing. Even Republican congressman Peter King, who supports military action against Assad, said: ‘I think it is going to be difficult’. But bullish Mr Kerry said of a Congress vote: ‘We are not going to lose.’
Speaking of the evidence of chemical weapons use in Syria, he added: ‘I can share with you today that blood and hair samples that have come to us through an appropriate chain of custody, from east Damascus, from first responders, it has tested positive for signatures of sarin.’
It was the first time Washington has pinpointed the chemical used in the attack on Ghouta, a rebel-held area of the Syrian capital on August 21.
Mr Kerry added: ‘So this case is building and this case will build.’
Assad remained defiant last night in the face of possible military strikes, insisting Syria was ‘capable of confronting any external aggression’.
The tyrant said the threat of a bombardment would not discourage the regime from its ‘principles’ of crushing the rebels, who he described as ‘terrorists’.
Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad mocked President Obama’s decision to consult Congress as showing ‘hesitation and confusion’. Yesterday it emerged that details of the huge arsenal of chemical weapons stockpiled by Syria have been unearthed by French spies.
Assad has amassed more than 1,000 tonnes of poison gas including sarin and VX, the most toxic nerve agent ever created.
A leaked intelligence report said the tyrant possessed missiles capable of firing the substances 300 miles – within range of British military bases in Cyprus.
Secret service chiefs in Paris also blamed the Syrian government for the massacre, which the US claims killed 1,429 civilians including 426 children.
Assad’s henchmen fired projectiles containing sarin into a rebel-held suburb simply to ‘cause terror’, they concluded. The four-page briefing paper was compiled by agents working for the Direction Generale de la Securité Exterieure, the French equivalent of MI6 and the Direction du Renseignement Militaire, the military intelligence corps.
The memo was sent to President François Hollande, who has vowed to join military action to punish ‘those who took the heinous decision to gas innocents’.
Mr Hollande is due to publish the document this week in a bid to convince the French public to back missile strikes.
He came under fresh pressure yesterday to consult the French parliament about taking military action, following the example of Mr Obama.
The leaked intelligence reports disclosed that Assad had accumulated one of the world’s biggest chemical arsenals.

Excerpted from Todd Starnes: For as far back as anyone can remember, Missouri Baptists have gathered on river banks for Sunday afternoon baptisms.
The preacher leads the new believers into the water, draped in white robes as a choir sings, “Shall We Gather at the River.”
It’s the way it’s been done for generations – baptizing in creeks, lakes, and rivers “in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
But now the long-cherished tradition of “taking the plunge” has been drawn into a controversy with the federal government.
The National Park Service began enforcing a policy recently that required churches to obtain special use permits in order to baptize in public waters. As part of the same permit process, the NPS also mandated that churches give the Park Service 48 hours advance notice of pending baptisms.
But as any Baptist or Pentecostal in good standing knows – that’s a problem.
“If the Holy Spirit is working on Sunday morning, you’re going to baptize Sunday afternoon,” Dennis Purcell told The Salem News. “You may not know ahead of time.”
Many Christians believe that the Bible commands new followers of Christ to be baptized immediately after their conversion. It’s a public expression and celebration of their new-found faith in Christ.
The National Park Service told local churches the permits were needed to “maintain park natural/cultural resources and quality visitor experiences, specific terms and conditions have been established.”
The feds also closed vehicle access to a sandbar along a popular creek in the Ozark Mountains, meaning churches could no longer drive their elderly members to the outdoor baptisms. And to make sure the Baptists behaved, they placed large boulders in the area to block car traffic.
“Like the Baptists and Pentecostals are going to harm natural resources and adversely affect quality visitor experiences by occasionally baptizing new converts?” asked local resident Lewis Leonard. “I can think of a whole lot more activities along the river ways that are not conducive to maintain the natural resources.”
Rep. Jason Smith fired off a letter to the feds on Aug. 21 demanding answers.
“I am very troubled by any federal rule that requires churches to apply for a permit for the purpose of baptism, especially when these traditional activities have been done in the rivers and streams of this nation since its founding,” the congressman wrote.
He pointed out the National Park Service does not require a 48-hour notification from fisherman or swimmers – so why churches?
“One would hope that the answer is not ‘because the National Park Service wants to limit the number of baptisms performed on the river.”
The Park Service responded within 24 hours. They said the reason they needed two days notice is to “give the park staff adequate time to prepare the permit.”
But based on local outrage – and Rep. Smith’s promise to bring the matter before Congress, the Park Service had a change of heart.
“As of today, the park’s policy has been clarified to state that no permit will be required for baptisms within the Riverways,” Supt. William Black wrote in a letter to the congressman. “I can assure you the National Park Service has no intention of limiting the number of baptisms performed within the park.”
Rep. Smith called the decision a “victory for common sense.”
“The notion that permits would be required for baptisms on our riverways is ridiculous,” he said. It’s not the first time government officials have tried to discourage public baptisms.
In Olympia, Wash., a church was denied a permit to hold a baptism at Heritage Park a few weeks ago. Their request was rejected because the attorney general said the religious sacrament was a violation of the state constitution.
In 2011, a church’s beach baptism was shut down by lifeguards in Miami.
But while the government cracks down on public expressions of the Christian faith, they are embracing public expressions of the Islamic faith – many times at taxpayer expense.
Universities across the nation are spending thousands of dollars to install foot baths so Muslim students can wash their feet before their five-times-a-day prayers.
The New York Times reported that the University of Michigan-Dearborn spent $25,000 to install the foot-washing stations in restrooms. The university defended the expenditure, claiming it was for health and safety measures, not religion.
A number of airports have spent public tax dollars to provide foot-washing basins for Muslim taxi drivers. One Arizona airport went so far as to provide prayer rugs.
And San Francisco International Airport renovated a building to create a house of worship for Muslim workers. Airport officials declined to reveal how much tax money was spent, but a spokesman told the San Francisco Chronicle they just wanted to maintain “a good relationship with ground transportation providers.”
So there you have it, good readers. Our government increasingly affords accommodation to the Muslim faith, while attempting to regulate the Christian faith.
It reminds me of something John Adams once wrote: “Nothing is more dreaded than the national government meddling with religion.”
