    I am SO glad snow is melting here in SD - one needs a large expensive tractor to deal with it and we don't have one....did see a few flocks of geese the other day - good sign!! Horses not shedding yet tho - not good sign - but happy for what we are having....it is a big blessing for us, hopefully not a bunch of severe flooding....

    I have Easter flowers that have buds on them already. I have seen the flowering ornamental pear trees already have buds. They probably got froze last week with the very cold temps we had.

    Unfortunately, this has a negative effect on plants and trees that are in winter dormancy. It make the sap run too early and if the nights are cold, the damage is irreversible. Any way, enjoy the warm weather.

    Yes, there will be flooding, Keith.  It is already being predicted it will be bad, and will harm more crops.

    Yes.  I thought perhaps since winter came early, then spring is coming early (my theory that the seasons are about a month off).  It could be a false spring though.  But, that is a HUGE jump.

    Yes,Yes,Yes, a warm up...I am so tired of this frigid weather. Snow is melting and should be gone by Sunday night. Missed three days of work because of snow here. It will get cold again though. Nice for the whole week!!!
