congratulations (1)

We have passed 500,000 hits and are fast approaching 450 members.  Despite the young age of this group (almost eleven months), each of you has made this a very special place.  Congratulations to each and every one of you, whether you post a lot or not.  Your prayers and presence here counts!  Each of you has earned the distinction of Earthchanger magna cum laude

I also thank the Guardians who protect this site.  They advised me to go off of lockdown on March 7th.  They didn't tell me what was about to happen, but we now know...on March 11th, Japan had a devastating earthquake, tsunami, and resulting radiation crisis.  We were here and open for business for all those searching for news and advice during the crisis, sharing information on radiation, and having meditation/prayer/intention sessions, all of which made a difference!

In anticipation of escalating earthchanges and more traffic to this site, I have done some reorganizing.  There is a wealth of information here but most people are going to come here in a rush and not know where to begin. Thus, key basic Survival Information has it's own section (which ends with a reference to the Survival Info group) on the left.  The right column begins with the science fueling the earthchanges.  It has been my long-stated belief that the science is what convinces people there is a problem and the next logical step is to prepare to meet the challenges.  The problem is a close passage of a brown dwarf.  The solution is to prepare.  So these two categories get prime visibility.  Severe Weather is a new section, top left, because of its importance in informing people at risk.

We have passed the point of wondering about earthchanges.  They're here and they're getting worse.  We have a large, historical database of the changes over the past 1.5 years, not just individual news articles, but DuaneR's very helpful Year-in-Review and JoeK's diligent work on tracking earthquakes, as well as John and Amy's excellent work in the Science Department, among so many others.  These particular efforts enable people to see the "big picture" quickly.

For my part in helping people get up to speed, I have started making hypotheticals, to help us all start adding flesh to the theory, bringing it to life, making it real.  Did the first hypothetical wake you up?  I hope so. Post your comments as to what you think you would do if you faced that situation at https://earthchanges.ning.com/profiles/blogs/its-started-the-days-of.  (A link is also posted near the bottom of the new Survival Information section on the left.)

One problem we face is information overload.  What shows on the main page is designed to be simple and easily assimilated, quickly; however, there is a lot of it, much of which will be unfamiliar to most people (like, how do you get water when it won't come out of the faucet?).

Also, many people from backgrounds different from the culture of this group will be arriving and there is no point confusing them with talk of UFOs and unfamiliar religions or beliefs.  That's why there are groups.  People can find them, secondary to learning about problem, the science behind it, what they can do to prepare and then survive afterwards, all of which should empower people and alleviate at least some fear.

Though we will continue to follow the earthchanges here, we should shift our focus on preparing for the big event, which looks to be just a few short months away.  I don't want important information becoming lost amongst the daily earthchanges.  If you want to continue to see the news about every earthchange we find, then how about posting one daily earthchange blog for the "normal" changes, and only post individual earthchange blogs (with pictures, if available) for those changes that exceed what will become the constantly evolving new norm.  Give me input if one blog for every "normal" earthchange on a given day would be sufficient.  There usually isn't a lot of discussion on those types of blog, anyway.  And since the comments section will be kind of scrambled, it would be best to make it into a discussion (rather than a blog) because of the ability to copy the comment you are replying to into your comment.  So let me know, okay?

Post your questions or comments about the new layout.  Thanks!
