  • Not a very pretty sight coming our way.

  • The composition of these debris is worrisome. It surely will contain heavy metal, oils of all type and bodies. Some of it could be recycle, but after the collapse of the salmon industry, that much pollution would be detrimental. I hope the government wont try to find empty land and bury everything.

  • If this is debris that left Japan with the tsunami, then it might not be radioactive or not severely radioactive.  If another tsunami hits Fukushima, new flotsam would definitely be radioactive.

What in the world are they going to do with that much debris?  Maybe channel it to the Gulf Coast and set the BP oil spill on fire?

  • It appear that Canada did not address this issue yet. Or something is in preparation, but not publicly known.
