They are either trying to get the New Madrid Fault to erupt or they are attempting to relieve pressure with the amount of blasting supplies they are using... On CNN this morning, they said the destruction of the levee had little effect on the flooding. So thus, it didn't work (they probably knew it wouldn't ahead of time).  Dim wits.

Perhaps  that  was  the intent? 

Never  been  to  Cairo  but is it  such a  strategically  important   place  that   130,000 acres  and  all these  homes  would be  sacrificed to  save it  from the  same  fate?

I  mean  what  did they  accomplish?  Save  Cairo  and  destroy  all of this.  Something  just  doesn't feel  right.  We  are  being  lied  to.

Well, and it was done in May, so they probably already had their fields planted....

I think it is the wrong decision. It is bad enough that we will have a food shortage, now they sacrifice farm land.
