Wow. What an amazing turn of events in Oregon!

On the eve of Election Day, Measure 92—Oregon’s ballot initiative to label genetically engineered foods—was trailing. But thanks to the support and hard work of all of you, that gap has narrowed to less than 900 votes, triggering an automatic recount, and making it likely the closest statewide election in Oregon history!

  • Monsatan won as usual sorry judge says there is no recourse. Monsanto has a bill in congress right now that will make it illegal for any state to require GMO labeling. I expect another defeat for the American consumer if you look at the track record of congress since the mid terms things are not going well For us at all.

  • Another thing you can do at the local level to take profits away from the GMO industry and let them know it, is to demand non-gmo products, and the proof yourself as a consumer. Starbucks is heavily in bed with the likes of Monsanto, here is a good article about it:

Demand non GMO creamer at Starbucks

  • MSG Jacks

  • Yes I hope that this wins so that labels actually are correct and not just what they want you to see! What was that stuff that Chinese restaurants put in the food to enhance the taste, I know one person that could not eat Chinese because about a hr afterwards he would pass out! Well they changed the name just like drugs that had a bad image where changed and sent out again because they made billions and only got millions in fines, so do it again will make billions again!

  • Bush Jr. won by a fraction of 1% of the votes after a recount too. Man, it's amazing how many 50/50 elections there are out there! You know when it's that close it's a sure sign everything being honestly and openly orchestrated. lol.

A bit of sarcasm there. I will say this, it would be refreshing to see Measure 92 pass even though it would all go to court just like our GMO farming ban is doing in my county now. Measure 92 will have cost the pro GMO crowd close  to 25 million usd after all is said and done. I would very much love to see them lose.

  • Oregon is really excited over this. I have always believed that labeling poison was a bad idea and banning it was much better but anything is an improvement.

  • Wow, I hope it wins.  And that the recount is honest.
