Jupiter Blast Blows ELEnin off course

This event took place in August and was recorded on a NASA telescope. The blast appears to be real and some object did move from it's original path. This might be the reason why ELEnin never showed up for the event.

After pulling up the JPL chart for Elenin I see what Suanne is talking about. Jupiter to Elenin in mid-august is at least 4 AU apart. So did jupiter have an explosion? and the bigger question is what object was moved off course?
