"The Gulf loop current has stopped so this water will get hotter and the North Atlantic will get colder . This is how an ice age starts . We will have a very cold winter with lots of snow and ice as it did last winter . When the snow and ice stays year round in north then there will be more exponentially . More snow more reflection of heat from the sun . Like there wasn't enough going on."

BP Oil Spill Stalls
Gulf Loop Current

Global Consequences if Current Fails to Reorganize

YOWUSA.COM, 01-August-10
Marshall Masters - BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop CurrentOceanographic satellite data now shows that the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico has stalled as a consequence of the BP oil spill disaster. This according to Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, an Italian theoretical physicist, and major complex and chaotic systems analyst at the Frascati National Laboratories in Italy.
He further notes that the effects of this stall have also begun to spread to the Gulf Stream. This is because the Loop Current is a crucial element of the Gulf Stream itself and why it is commonly referred to as the “main engine” of the Stream.
The concern now, is whether or not natural processes can re-establish the stalled Loop Current. If not, we could begin to see global crop failures as early as 2011.

An Open System in Trouble

The Loop Current is a clockwise flow that extends northward into the Gulf of Mexico and joins the Yucatan Current and the Florida Current to the Gulf Stream.
The Loop Current
Although at first glance the Loop Current appears confined within the Gulf, scientists define it as an “element of an extremely complex, open system”: as all other “elements” of the so-called “Earth System”, are not separable from the others.
These various “elements” of the Earth System (i.e., atmosphere, landmasses and so forth) are so strongly correlated to one another that at some point, they become indivisible.
Why is this important to all life on the planet? The Gulf Stream is a strong interlinked component of the Earth's global network of ocean conveyor currents, which drive the planet's weather systems.
Dr. Gianluigi ZangariFor this reason, Zangari's concern is that should the Loop Current fail to restart, dire global consequences may ensue as a result of extreme weather changes and many other critical phenomena. The repercussions of which could trigger widespread droughts, floods, crop failures and subsequent global food shortages.
While pundits are certain to trivialize the ramifications of this event, “the real worry” says Zangari, “is that that there is no historical precedent for the sudden replacement of a natural system, with a dysfunctional man-made system. That is, except for the atomic bomb blasts and contamination as a result of nuclear waste and nuclear plant accidents, such as the April 1986, Chernobyl disaster
April 1986, Chernobyl disasterIn what is now widely regarded by many as “Oil's Chernobyl,” Americans, and particularly Gulf Coast residents are disheartened by a steady stream of bureaucratically bungled responses, which are now proving to be just as a deadly as the initial event itself.
Perhaps even more so, as this toxic brew of incompetence, greed, corruption, oil, Corexit dispersant and other chemicals has unleashed a man-made disaster in the Gulf, with frightful possibilities for the future.

The Corexit Curse

1989 Exxon Valdez oil spillThe use of Corexit as a dispersant was first brought to the public's attention during the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.
A powerful solvent used as a dispersant for oil slicks, public knowledge about the dispersant and its long-term effects is hampered by the proprietary protections of its manufacturer, Nalco Holding Company, which is associated with British Petroleum (BP) and Exxon.
What is known, is that this petroleum-based formula is regarded as being at least four times more toxic to life, than the oil is disperses by many environmentalists.
Spraying the GulfApproximately 1.8 to 2 million gallons of Corexit have been spayed in the Gulf of Mexico. This is a critical fact as current satellite data of the Gulf feeds, tell Zangari that the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico has clearly stalled. This due to environmental impacts from a man-made introduction of oil, which were then compounded by other agents (Corexit and so on).
Worse yet, these real-time satellite data feeds offers clear evidence to Zangari that a new artificial system has been generated in the Gulf in a remarkably short period of time. It is this new and unnatural system which has changed the viscosity, temperature and salinity of the Gulf's seawater, thereby causing the Loop Current to stall. A system that has existed for millions of years.

Consequently, there is no possible way for scientists to predict its future evolution, though corporate spinmeisters and media pundits will no doubt be sure to offer a bevy of right-sounding predictions. Their goal as it has been throughout this ordeal, will be to deflect attention by trivializing the severity of the event with simplistic and misleading explanations.

However, researchers like Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, offer insights that transcend the politics of oil.
As a theoretical physicist, he currently holds a position as an associate member of the Research Division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics at Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in Italy. A prestigious research facility focused on high-energy physics.
However, what makes Dr. Gianluigi Zangari's findings so vital to the common man, is that for over a decade, he has conducted his continuous global analysis climate research, using publicly available data. Unlike the jealously guarded formulas for Corexit, anyone can vet his research without having to run through a gauntlet of corporate lawyers.

Tracking Zangari's Data

Zangari's assessment is based on daily monitoring of real-time data oceanographic satellite public data feeds called “Real-Time Mesoscale Altimetry” from the Jason, Topex/Poseidon, Geosat, Follow-On, ERS-2 and Envisat satellites.
Oceanographic Satellites
These satellite feeds are captured and made publicly available by NASA, NOAA and by the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research (CCAR) at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
These CCAR data maps offer researchers like Zangari a continuous stream of markers for sea and ocean dynamics: surface height, velocity, temperature. A fourth marker that Zangari has found to be especially helpful, are chlorophyll infrared emission maps. This is because they show him real-time changes in the shape of the Gulf Stream.
Sea Surface Height

Sea Surface Velocity
In addition to changes in ocean velocity, Zangari is reporting an equally troubling analysis with sea surface temperatures. The data published by Rutgers University is from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data maps. Dr. Zangari re-elaborates and checks these data maps using his own calculus system called SHT (patented in 1999.)
Sea Surface Temperatures Acknowledgments: Frascati National Laboratories, NOAA and Rutgers University ( Analysis by Dr. Gianluigi Zangari (Frascati Labs), July 29, 2010.
Taken altogether, these four oceanographic markers began taking a turn for the worse, shortly after the Deepwater Horizon well explosion on April 20, 2010. This rapid turn of events raised Zangari's concerns about the Gulf's Loop Current, and then on July 28, 2010 the worst case imaginable happened. “The Loop Current simply stalled,” Zangari noted sadly “and we have no idea if it can reorganize itself, because now we're dealing with troubling unknowns.”

Velocity and Temperature Worries

At present, Admiral Thad Allen is trying to assure Americans that the worst of the disaster has passed and that the oil slicks have disappeared due to natural processes. However the markers from oceanographic satellite feeds Dr. Zangari is studying tell him an entirely different story.
The millions of gallons of Corexit sprayed in the Gulf have given BP and the US government a convenient way to mitigate public concerns by removing the threat from sight. The logic being that since the oil is disappearing, so is the crisis. However, taking oil from the surface and spreading through the water column is not a PR matter. Instead, it has become a convenient way to cover up one massive mistake, with a tragically larger one.
To help understand why, let's assume that what is really happening in the Gulf is not much different from what happens when you shake a bottle of oil and vinegar salad dressing. Leave the bottle on the shelf for a while and the oil and vinegar will naturally separate, each with it's own unique viscosity.
However, when the bottle is shaken the two are mixed. This creates a new, and overall thicker viscosity, hence the dressing pours more slowly. In very simple terms, this is what happened in the Gulf of Mexico, which begs another question. Was the Gulf of Mexico intentionally written off early on, so as to protect the Gulf Stream and America's NATO partners?

Will This Stall Spread Into the Atlantic?

The Day After TomorrowThe importance of the Gulf Stream was brought to the forefront in the blockbuster film The Day After Tomorrow (2004) where the Gulf Stream stalled, causing temperatures in New York City to plummet from sweltering to freezing in a matter of hours.
Based on real science, the film showed movie audience how the the Gulf Stream transports warm water from the equatorial regions of the Earth, along American's Eastern seaboard and then across the Atlantic to Northern Europe.
Now, current temperature measurements for the Gulf Stream on the Atlantic Front (from 76 to 47 meridian) now appears to be about 10 degrees Celsius cooler than it was this time last year. Consequently, a direct causality nexus has now been established, between the stall of the Gulf Loop Current and this new temperature drop in the Gulf Stream on the Atlantic Front.
For this reason, the focus of Zangari's research is presently centered on finding signs of a return to the former natural equilibrium of the Gulf. Again, he stresses making predictions (pessimistic or optimistic alike) because “these phenomena are unpredictable because they are ruled by strong non-linearities.”
Nonetheless, we must ponder the question: What does this new nexus portend for our future? To that, Zangari says “we can affirm that this system (the Gulf Stream) is changing in an unpredictable way, which may produce serious consequences on planetary scale.” will report new developments in Dr. Zangari's research as they become available.

BP Oil Spill Stalls
Gulf Loop Current
— Update #1

New Analysis Shows Stall on June 12, 2010

Original Article: BP Oil Spill Stalls
Gulf Loop Current
, 01-August-2010

YOWUSA.COM, 05-August-10

Marshall Masters - BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop CurrentIn this first update in this series, Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, an Italian
theoretical physicist and major complex and chaotic systems analyst
at the Frascati National Laboratories in Italy, believes that a
cover-up is in progress.
In what he refers to as "taroccare" (to falsify), Zangari maintains that that tampering of Colorado Center for
Astrodynamics Research (CCAR) oceanographic imagery for June 12, 2010
represents an attempt to cover up the Loop Current stall event on
that day. Thanks to the US Navy, he has smoking gun proof.
Dr. Gianluigi ZangariWhat brought Dr. Zangari to these conclusions is the result of the natural
scientific process of mining his existing database for new
information. His data spans over a decade and he's searching for a
sign, that natural processes are
re-establishing the stalled Loop Current. If not, we could begin to
see global crop failures as early as 2011.
Alarmed by the CCAR tampering, Zangari transmitted his findings in a series of
three e-mails to Marshall Masters of on August 4, 2010.
To help readers follow this new development, a series of composite
images prepared from Zangari's e-mails will be presented in
chronological order. Following which, a possible theory as to who
may have corrupted the CCAR database and how, will be presented.

Zangari's Original Paper — 21-June-2010

Dr. Zangari's original paper published on 21-June-2010 was first brought
to our attention by subscriber Amy Evans on July 22,
2010. While the original paper is not dated, the document time
stamp shows that it was created on 21-June-2010.
Zangari's Original Paper — 21-June-2010
Please note: The modified date was updated when the file was save to a
different location on my own hard drive.
What drew my attention to the paper was the amount of disinformation attacks
waged against it, so when Dr. Bill Deagle asked me to appear on his radio show with Dr. Zangari, I accepted. I
was sufficiently impressed by Dr. Zangari's integrity and
professionalism to proceed with this series of articles. In this
update, I am presenting the comments and images he sent us via e-mail
on August 4, 2010.

CCAR Sea Surface Height Database Tampering for June 12, 2010

In this first of his three e-mails, Zangari has just discovered tampering in
the CCAR database with regards to the sea surface height imagery for
June 12, 2010. Using his own extensive library of captures, which he
refers to as the “OLD”, he compares it with the “NEW”
(tampered) imagery, which is substantially different.

Dear Marshall, it has happened a very strange thing. Check these two maps
by CCAR of the same day. The first one (old) is the map I used for my
paper. Now the same map (new) of the same day published by CCAR is
completely different!!!

Why?? What does it mean? It's very strange. May be it would be better to not
use anymore those data....

As with the “OLD”, the “NEW” comparison of the sea
surface height noted above, the sea surface velocity imagery for the
same dates is substantially different as well.

Also the velocity maps of the same day (June 12) are now different (see
attached). Check the first (old) is that I used for my paper, while
the second (new) is that which is on-line now.

In Italy we use to say "taroccare" (to falsify).

The correct maps (which show the same results I have published on last 12
june) are collected by the Naval Research Laboratory Real-Time Global

Ocean Analysis and Modeling. As you can see, they show clearly the breaking
of the loop on june 12.

US Navy v. CCAR - for June 12, 2010

When the US Navy imagery is compared with CCAR for the same date, the
differences defy dismissive claims of mere coincidence. What more can
we say but “Go Navy!”
US Navy v. CCAR - for June 12, 2010
On the other hand, who could have tampered with the CCAR imagery and why?
Or as Dr. Zangari aptly put it, "taroccare" (to falsify).

CCAR Tampering Scenario

No doubt this evidence of tampering with the CCAR data will raise a host of
theories and denials. However, the one possible theory this article
will address shall be that of corporate espionage, given that the US
Navy, maintained the integrity of their data for the date in question.
In this regard, I will briefly explain my technical background as it
applies to this scenario.
Prior to starting Your Own World Books in 2002, I worked in the computer
industry for over two decades and in a various roles. In the last
five, I specialized in Internet and Storage Area Network (SAN)
technologies and my client list included AT&T, Hewlett Packard,
Oracle, SUN Microsystems and Lockheed Martin.
9-11 Lookdown on Ground ZeroDuring that time, my most interesting assignment was on documenting the
command and control communication system for the civilian imaging
satellite that took those stunning look down photos of ground zero,
shortly after 9-11.
Since then, I have developed and maintained all of my our web sites,
message boards, etc. and have had ongoing battle with web site
attacks. Where cranks, kids and nutters like to mess up a site with
defacements and so forth, professionals make very precise, surgical
hits. Hits so clean that it can days or weeks to find them.
For general disruptions, the pros target like to vulnerable areas such as
database linkages and they are very good at what they do. Over the
years, I've studied their tactics and this corruption, or tampering
if you will, is a pro hit. No two ways about it. Clean. Precise.
Will CCAR ever admit to it? Heaven's no! That would make as much sense to them
(or anyone else running a data center) as strolling into a single bar
with the words “I have an STD” tattooed on your forehead.
It's just not going to happen.
So how do the pros do it? For that, a very simplistic view of what happens in
a data center is helpful.
Very Simple Example
In the illustration above, the security we typically encounter as users is
through the Internet, which can only be regarded as an “untrusted”
The firewall is the part of the system that prevents hackers from
breaking in through the “front door.” This is an
ever-evolving game of cat and mouse between security administrators,
and in a world full of nasty nutters, the pros prefer a different way
into the data center.
Inside the data center, security is another matter, because servers and
databases are “behind the firewall” and therefore
“trusted.” In other words, the barn doors are always open
if you can find your way onto the master communication backbone that
connects servers, databases, etc. within the confines of the data
Obviously, a phone call that scares someone into a job security panic is the
most effective and expedient way to go, but there are less obtrusive
ways. Or more importantly, ways with perfect deniability.
Namely, the security sniffers used by Intelligence agencies to monitor
traffic for terrorists, etc. Years ago they were known as the FBI
Carnivore system and as the NSA Echelon system and then everyone
learned the hard way to write about it. ('nuff said.)
Although government operate these sniffers, they rely on defense contractors
to build, program and support them. That's a lot of people with
access. Ergo, abuse of these sniffers is genuine concern.
The reason why this is is relevant to this news story is that this surgical hit
on the CCAR data center was carefully aimed at the database, within
the data center's storage area network (SAN). In other words, this
was not a case of breaking down the front door with sledgehammer, but
a clean surgical hit deep inside the CCAR data center itself.
Whoever did this can afford it. You the reader can fill in the blanks
as you wish, as this is all past tense.

The Real Issue at Hand

Doing a “who shot John” on the CCAR tampering is pointless. Or
as Dr. Zangari so aptly states it, 'Why?? What does it mean? It's
very strange. May be it would be better to not use anymore those
Beyond politics, intrigues and speculation, the larger question still looms
over us all. Can the Loop Current re-organize itself? Let us pray
that it does. will report new developments in Dr. Zangari's research as they
become available.

Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Current Dying
Loop Current in Gulf of Mexico Already Dead

Extreme heat/drought in Russia, Flooding in Asia,
Killing Cold in South America
All Connected To BP Oil Disaster

By The Earl of Stirling

Our planet is experiencing a real life version of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" right now. Record breaking heat (up to 39-40C or 100-104F in Moscow) and drought in Russia, heat and flooding in large parts of Asia (China, Pakistan, etc.), and killing cold temperatures in South America are all reflective of a rapidly changing global weather pattern that is caused by dramatic changes in the Gulf Stream and the North Atlantic Current (also called the North Atlantic Drift) and the Norway Current/etc. brought on by the large amounts of oil discharged into the Gulf of Mexico by the BP Oil Disaster.

An Italian theoretical physicist, Dr. Gianluigi ZangariDr. Gianluigi Zangari, of the prestigious Research Division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics at Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in Italy, has come up with some startling scientific findings. Dr. Zangari has specialized in global climate research and analysis. He has found that the massive amount of oil in the Gulf of Mexico, from the BP Oil Disaster, has caused a disruption of the Loop Current in the Gulf. And further, that this has resulted in a dramatic weakening in the vorticity of the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Current, and a reduction in North Atlantic water temperatures of 10C.

It is a university level physics experiment to use a tub of cool water and inject a colored stream of warm water into it. You can see the boundary layers of the warm water stream. If you add oil to the tub it breaks down the boundary layers of the warm water stream and effectively destroys the current vorticity . This is what is happening in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Atlantic Ocean.

The entire 'river of warm water' that flows from the Caribbean to the edges of Western Europe is dying due to the Corexit that the Obama Administration allowed BP to use to hide the scale of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Disaster. The approximately two million gallons of Corexit, plus several million gallons of other dispersants, have caused the over two hundred million gallons of crude oil, that has gushed for months from the BP wellhead and nearby sites, to mostly sink to the bottom of the ocean. This has helped to effectively hide much of the oil, with the hopes that BP can seriously reduce the mandated federal fines from the oil disaster. However, there is no current way to effectively 'clean up' the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, which is about half covered in crude oil. Additionally, the oil has flowed up the East Coast of America and into the North Atlantic Ocean, and there is no way to effectively clean up this 'sea bottom oil'.

This massive amount of crude oil, covering such an enormous area, has seriously affected the Loop Current, the Gulf Stream, and the North Atlantic Current system, by breaking up the boundary layers of the warm water flow.

There are several names to the themoregulation 'river of warm water' that keeps the Northern Hemisphere from going into a new Ice Age. The first section is named the "Loop Current" and it begins in the Caribbean, flows around the Yucatan Peninsula and goes into the Gulf of Mexico, then loops around the Gulf and exits on the east side and runs between Cuba and Florida. At this point the current is called the "Florida Current" and it flows from the Keys up the East Coast of America (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and part of North Carolina) to the Outer Banks. At the Outer Banks the current heads east into the North Atlantic where it is known as the "Gulf Stream". Eventually the Gulf Stream becomes the North Atlantic Current, which itself eventually becomes the Norway Current and the Canary Current. The reason that this system has several names, and not one, is historical. It was not all discovered at the same time and the flow was not fully known or understood for years. Ben Franklin, one of my favorite American 'founding fathers' is the person that
named one section of this system the "Gulf Stream" in the 1760s. It should be noted that this 'river of warm water' does not begin with the Loop Current, it is part of a much larger system that includes the Atlantic South Equatorial Current which flows north along the coast of Brazil (the North Brazil Current), and becomes the Caribbean Current, and is renamed the Yucatan Current as it flows north into the Yucatan Channel. This entire system is one of the main global themoregulation processes that regulates the planet's temperatures.

Based on what has already happened (to the Loop Current and the Gulf Stream/North Atlantic Current/etc. and global weather patterns), and what is continuing to happen, we can project increased global climate changes that are both serious and near in terms of time. We may be entering a full new Ice Age.

There is no known way to clean up the massive amount of free crude oil, stripped of its lighter elements by dispersants, now on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico and in significant parts of the Atlantic Ocean (where the Gulf Stream flows). The use of Corexit and other dispersants by BP, with the full cooperation of the Obama Administration has created the most significant danger to the entire planet in recorded history. This is what happens when a great nation slips into being a Third World type of nation, where money alone is the key driving force in government actions.

As full knowledge of the scope of the oncoming mega-disaster to the planet becomes known, the Obama Administration will find itself in a political crisis way beyond Watergate (that cost Nixon his presidency) or the sex affair that almost cost Clinton his presidency. The effect on this years mid-term Congressional elections are apt to be dramatic.
