  • Duane, same thing here in central wisconsin

    we have had about 1/4 inch of snow all winter and usually we are buried until spring. Very thin and open ice. Never before have I seen open ice in Dec.

    Right now it is above freezing outside, 35. We have even hit 40!! Unreal!

    Last year we had 3 feet of snow, we did not see the ground until April

    I thought about the lack of persipitation and thought we had enough snow last winter and rain in the spring so I think our water levels will be ok but if it happens every year we will be in trouble
