I just noticed that Elenin looks to be at almost a 90 degree angle to the alignment...who knows whether that would have any effect or not...

BTW, Elenin has now crossed Venus orbit, if the JPL data is correct.

We still essentially have an alignment of Earth-Sun-Venus, Mercury has moved out of alignment.  Not sure if this would help explain the extreme activity today.  Since there has been at least a near alignment for about 4 days now, I would think it may be a factor.  Dr. Omerbashich's theory was based on what he called "long alignments" of 3 days or more.
