As we look at the red area of the High Rick Tornado Map we see what's in the middle of that, and it appears to be the Ozarks Mountains

Ozarks Mountain/Ozark Plateau, in the central USA.

1. Southern half of  Missouri

2. Northwestern and north central Arkansas

3. Westward into northeastern Oklahoma

4. Extreme southeastern Kansas

5. Shawnee Hills of southwest Illinois, eastern edge but are generally not considered part of the true Ozarks.
