This article has been prepared in a very pragmatic, scientific way. The writer has no time for what he/she calls conspiracy theorists saying there is "nothing Earth-shattering or Prophesy-fulfilling" about the forthcoming comets (including ISON and Lovejoy) nor their forthcoming alignment with planets.

Whilst this article will be calming for many - I'm not convinced. Even if they pass without event I still think I'm going to continue to question everything and look beyond the obvious.

Still, IMO it's worthwhile considering all points of view!
