o Death or Injury of an American citizen abroad

o Arrest/detention of an American citizen abroad

o Victims of crime abroad

Here's a .pdf file listing contact info for most US Embassys Overseas:

http://media.azamaracruises.com/azamara/content/pdf/USEmbassyandLocalLEOContactsforPortsofCallV1.pdf

Note: The phone number above is for US citizens while traveling abroad/overseas (they will give you the local info/contacts that can help you further, in person, with passports, etc). Most have a separate phone number for after hours/weekend while the Embassy is "closed"; so take special note of this very important "after hours" number! Most Embassys provide for a "Citizens Services Department" (i.e. "American Services") to help thier citizens in the event of an emergency or crime while travelling. They can provide emergency medical assistance, emergency funds, travel assistance, leagl assistance, translators, negotiators, etc. so keep this number handy (in numerous places on your person, in your bags, luggage, moneybelt, with/on your travel documents)!

Another option in an emergency abroad is to call the Red Cross/ Red Crescent and ask for help
; they will asisst in many ways; and even contact family members for you (at no charge)!

If you are a citizen of another country, call YOUR COUNTRYS Embassy, Consulate, or Consular and as for the Citizens Services, or the Duty Officer/Officer in Charge.
