    The entire region increasingly resembles an ocean floor just waiting for the water.

  • High speed geological changes......let me think.....the Sumatra tsunami was caused by such a thing....yes it occurred under the sea but it was high speed the crack that is forming in Africa is another nice example.....in the span of a week, you have a break that runs miles and this is just the precursor to when a true tear occurs......lake forming indeed......and the list goes on and on.....to my knowledge most geological events happen quickly and without notice, most tend to be short-lived but the devastation they leave in there wake can last forever......I guess what I am saying is that I feel that just about all geological changes are high speed not including erosion :)

  • This is yet another reason to be prepared to "bug out" if you have to.
  • Very impressive. Geologic changes are happening more quickly these days.
