Canadian Press, Oct. 7, 2013: Vancouver Aquarium ‘alarmed’ at mass die-off of starfish on B.C. ocean floor [...] aquarium staff don’t know just how far-reaching the “alarming” epidemic has been, and whether this and other sea star species will recover. “They’re gone. It’s amazing,” said Donna Gibbs, a research diver and taxonomist on the aquarium’s Howe Sound Research and Conservation group. “Whatever hit them, it was like wildfire and just wiped them out.” [...] Aquarium staff don’t know the cause because they have had trouble gathering specimens for testing, as starfish that looked healthy in the ocean turned up as goo at the lab. [...] “We’re just not sure yet if it’s all the same thing,” Gibbs said. “They’re dying so fast.” [...] The collaboration came about after a graduate student collected starfish for a research project and then watched as they “appeared to melt” in her tank. [...]

Global News, Oct. 3, 2013: [...] starfish wasting or completely disintegrating ever since early September. “Now they are gone. They have disintegrated, and now there is just goo left,” says research diver and taxonomist Donna Gibbs. “So we are trying to see as much as we can really fast and get reports from divers in other areas to see how widespread this is.” […] “It is shocking to see them all dead. They are just gone. And, are they coming back? We want them back. B.C. is known for its sea stars. We have more species here than anywhere else in the world.” [...] National Geographic, Sept. 9, 2013: [...] “It really struck a chord in other divers who were seeing it on Facebook and social media, both locally and as far away as California, who had been seeing similar things,” [marine biologist Jonathan] Martin said. [...] Martin wrote to invertebrate expert Christopher Mah, a researcher at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. [...] he said: “(The starfish) seem to waste away, ‘deflate’ a little, and then just … disintegrate. The arms just detach, and the central disc falls apart. It seems to happen rapidly, and not just dead animals undergoing decomposition, as I observed single arms clinging to the rock faces, tube feet still moving, with the skin split, gills flapping in the current. [...] we did our second dive in an area closed to fishing, and in absolutely amazing numbers. The bottom from about 20 to 50 feet [6 to 15 meters] was absolutely littered with arms, oral discs, tube feet, gonads and gills … it was kind of creepy.” [...] Yet what’s especially alarming to Martin, Mah, and other marine biologists is the fact that this die-off might not be restricted to P. helianthoides or the northern Pacific. [...] Fisheries and Oceans Canada is worried enough that they’ve asked Martin to go back out and collect samples for them to test in the lab. [...]

PEORIA, Ariz.– Immigration activists are spending 24 hours outside the front gates of Arizona Congressman Trent Franks’ home.

A couple dozen showed up Friday night, and say they’ll stay through the night and day Saturday, holding continuous prayer vigils.

The group is hoping to appeal to Franks’ deep religious convictions. They say they want to make the ‘moral case’ for immigration reform and a path to citizenship.

“We know he’s a man of faith,” Pedro Lopez told 3TV. “And that’s one thing we have in common with the congressman.”

Franks greeted the group, and spent time listening to their concerns and stories of family separation due to immigration issues and deportation. Keep Reading

article-0-18FDC23E00000578-272_634x471

Excerpted from The Daily Mail: A high-ranking official with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has declared in an interview with PBS that the age of antibiotics has come to an end.

‘For a long time, there have been newspaper stories and covers of magazines that talked about “The end of antibiotics, question mark?”‘ said Dr Arjun Srinivasan. ‘Well, now I would say you can change the title to “The end of antibiotics, period.”’

The associate director of the CDC sat down with Frontline over the summer for a lengthy interview about the growing problem of antibacterial resistance.

Srinivasan, who is also featured in a Frontline report called ‘Hunting the Nightmare Bacteria,’ which aired Tuesday, said that both humans and livestock have been overmedicated to such a degree that bacteria are now resistant to antibiotics.

‘We’re in the post-antibiotic era,’ he said. ‘There are patients for whom we have no therapy, and we are literally in a position of having a patient in a bed who has an infection, something that five years ago even we could have treated, but now we can’t.’.

Dr Srinivasan offered an example of this notion, citing the recent case of three Tampa Bay Buccaneers players who made headlines after reportedly contracting potentially deadly MRSA infections, which until recently were largely restricted to hospitals.

About 10 years ago, however, the CDC official began seeing outbreaks of different kinds of MRSA infections in schools and gyms.

‘In hospitals, when you see MRSA infections, you oftentimes see that in patients who have a catheter in their blood, and that creates an opportunity for MRSA to get into their bloodstream,’ he said. Keep reading

CAN YOUR BRAIN BE HACKED Three minute Video

Because the brain is essentially an
electrical device, we learn that indeed,
it is "hackable", as we witness a hapless
lab rat, whose brain has been wired to
have him turn his body to the left, when
his implant has been stimulated. We
watch him run around in circles to the
left, against his will.
Students of this topic will know that this
is only the tip of the iceberg, when it
comes to the many modalities of mind
control. There are literally thousands
of patents granted by the US Patent Office
for such "non-lethal" weapons.
The experiment with the rat shown in this
video is essentially a replication of the 1930s
experiments of Yale University scientist,
Jose Delgado, using the device which he
invented, called the "Stimoceiver".

The Stimoceiver was used on an array of
animals and "desperately ill mental patients,
whose illness had resisted all previous
treatments."
"Brain Hacking" a.k.a. Mind Control has
been achieved without any brain implants,
using Extremely Low Frequencies (ELF) that
have been modulated with specific commands
and "thoughts" directed towards Targeted
Individuals (TI). Similar technologies in the
microwave end of the spectrum, as well
as in ultrasound have also been successful.

Indeed, the DC Navy Yard shooter of that
recent massacre complained that he was being
beamed with microwave weapons and that he
could not control his behavior.
Whether Alexis was a true "Manchurian Candidate"
or whether Alexis had heard about this technology
and was using it as an excuse to go on a killing
rampage would be an important question to ask
because if the former were true, we would want
to know who did this to him and what their
motivations were, in causing this man to kill 12
innocent people that morning, in one of the most
secure locations in the US.
Killed by police (understandably so), Alexis will
never be able to tell his side of the story.

nsa-site-ddos-attack.si

Excerpted from RT: The website for the United States National Security Agency suddenly went offline Friday.

NSA.gov has been unavailable globally as of late Friday afternoon, and Twitter accounts belonging to people loosely affiliated with the Anonymous hacktivism movement have suggested they are responsible.

Twitter users @AnonymousOwn3r and @TruthIzSexy both were quick to comment on the matter, and implied that a distributed denial-of-service attack, or DDoS, may have been waged as an act of protest against the NSA

How's Your Day Goin'?

Bad Day

There I was, sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble-making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig.

"Well, whatcha' gonna do about it?" he asks menacingly, as I burst into tears.

"Come on, man," the biker says, "I didn't think you'd CRY. I can't stand to see a man crying."

"This is the worst day of my life," I say. "I'm a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don't have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home, there I found my wife with another man and then my dog bit me."

"So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all, I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in and sit here watching the poison dissolve. Then you show up and drink the whole thing! But enough about me, how's your day going?"

It's so sad so many are suffering, or will suffer, because of this.  Over a million people have had their health insurance cancelled because it did not comply with Ocare.  Now, they can't get signed up, so end up with NOcare.  Or, if they are signed up, the cost eats them alive.
