This is the same picture I saw when the polar vortexes happened last winter drawing cold air from Canada all the way to Florida. If this happens at this time of year with a warm front coming from the gulf hits a cold front we can expect serious thunder storms and tornados. They just expanded the long wave reading from the south east to the mid west. I have been watching this site for 2 years now and sometimes nothing happens but many time they are very predictable. California has not changed   in about 10 days so this may be their way of keeping the drought going, who knows what happens in the minds of evil people.

Warm winters let trees sleep longer

For their experiments, TUM researchers used twigs around 30 centimeters long from 36 different trees and shrubs, which they exposed to different temperature and light conditions in climate chambers. Each climate chamber experiment lasted six weeks. In the temperate zones, vegetation follows the change of the seasons. After a winter pause, plants put out new growth in spring. Research has now brought a new correlation to light: The colder the winter, the earlier native plants begin to grow again.

Since warmer winters can be expected as the climate changes, the spring development phase for typical forest trees might start later and later - giving an advantage to shrubs and invasive trees that don't depend on the cold.

In a recently published study, researchers at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM) investigated 36 tree and shrub species.

Their work delivered a surprising result, as lead author Julia Laube explains: "Contrary to previous assumptions, the increasing length of the day in spring plays no big role in the timing of budding. An ample 'cold sleep' is what plants need in order to wake up on time in the spring."

This applies above all to native tree species such as beech and oak, because they rely on resting in the cold to protect themselves from freezing by late spring frosts.

A different behavior is observed among pioneer species - including shrubs such as hazel bushes and primary settlers such as birch trees - and among species like locust and walnut that have moved in from warmer climate zones.

"These trees take the risk of starting earlier in the spring, because they are less strongly dependent on the cold periods," Laube says, "and in addition they sprout more quickly as temperatures rise."

Stop Being a 99% Victim

You shout this at the top of your lungs as if you know what it means. Although, if you really are rebelling – that is, cutting yourself from the cord of tyrants – you are most certainly not 99% of the population.

99% may not be implementing the agenda of psychopaths, but 99% of us are also not necessarily doing anything about it. If the odds really did add up to that, the real counter-world would not have the challenge we do to get the real 99% away from the plasma screen for more than ten minutes to look at what the government that represents them are doing. They do NOT represent me and they do NOT represent you if you can read this without cognitive dissonance.

It is an insult to anyone seriously removing themselves from tyranny to put us in league with drooling masses currently paying tribute, working at banks, collecting the government dole, voting for tweedle dee and tweedle dumb. The rest of us have worked hard to break our dependence, and that 99% do not deserve the same credit.

Those who read into a small fraction of the mystery like the economy or Zionism stop looking as if they’re at the apex of the problem. The truth is that it is not some people in government; it is all government. It is not some people in control; it is the sickness that is the need to control. And your need to be controlled is because you’re too afraid to make decisions for and defend yourself.
No, I’m afraid that if we were the 99%, the situation would not be so grave. If that great a number were really working against control, we would already be in control of our own lives. Unless what you mean is that 99% of us are neutrally sitting around quoting relatively subversive movies like V For Vendetta or bitching about their money on Wall Street then, my apology, you are the 99%.

But it takes so much more than that. These bizarre circuses excite the inherent rebellion in all of us, just enough that you feel satisfied without doing anything about your own livelihood's dependence on tyranny. The truth is that few of us actually want an end to tyranny because they wouldn’t know where the next meal would come from. This is because they haven’t taken the responsibility to ensure it through their own self worth, not their buying power.

You have a credit card, a mortgage -- you have worked for them all of your life -- yet you insultingly call yourself the 99% because you can’t get a job in the food court and this is why you repeat these mind-numbing memes. The point is not to bring the corporate jobs back. Do you get it yet? The point is to eliminate the need for them.

Last night, on Canadian TV they showed a map of the Arctic Ice disappearing. The ice cap shrank 50% this year and is projected to be entirely disappeared in 2 YEARS.

Personally, I went sailing, with a friend,  last week. It was too hot. It felt like the Caribbean. I wore a short sleeve t shirt.

This was in the FREEZING COLD NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN!

We are experiencing a massively life threatening..permanent heat wave.

The famous ..but historically non existent northwest passage, searched for, by the world’s explorers, as a route to China, for hundreds of years.is NOW OPEN!

Canada is rushing to build naval ships to protect it’s sovereignty . The Prime Minister is going there often..to create Inuit ( old name Eskimo)  police Forces…and much more…like planned ports and cities.

Not only is there NO ICE across the top of the world, from the Atlantic to the Pacific; but Cruise Liners are going thru. Even private sailboats are going thru. It is now a sailing destination.

Cities are planned on the new beaches.

Can you believe that the SAME  Prime Minister (Stephen Harper) who is preparing to protect this OIL RICH AREA ; who comes from a dried up, drought ridden, crop destroyed part of the NEW DESERT Central North America.

Last week, on local TV, a shocked and stunned tidal fisherman asked: “What will the fishermen do, for lobster bait. ” He was standing in front of his exposed (low tide) 300 ft long net fence. He said that he normally had thousands of herring. Now, he has NONE. NOT A SINGLE FISH! (His herring are sold to Lobstermen, for trap bait).

What he didn’t comprehend is the big picture:

“Lobsters feed on dead fish. They are the vultures of the oceans. They have been thriving.

Now, with no more herring or other fish to die, for their food, then they will die too.”

We are at the point that the vultures are about to starve to death..

I never thought I would think this; but, as I come to an end of my struggling to stay alive with my 911 injuries:

I remember a childhood Quote from Long John Silver, the pirate:

“Them that dies are the lucky ones!”.

Many more people will die of heart problems as global warming continues, experts are warning.

Climate extremes of hot and cold will become more common and this will puts strain on people's hearts, doctors say.

A study in the British Medical Journal found that each 1C temperature drop on a single day in the UK is linked to 200 extra heartattacks.

Heatwaves, meanwhile, increase heart deaths from other causes, as shown by the events in Paris during summer 2003.

Over 11,000 people died in France's heatwave in the first half of August of that year when temperatures rose to over 40C.

Many of these were sudden cardiac deaths related to heart conditions other than heart attack.

That same summer, record-breaking temperatures led to 2,000 excess deaths in the UK.

And experts predict that by the 2080s events similar to these will happen every year.

The risks posed by extreme spells of hot and cold are largely within two weeks of exposure and are greatest for the most frail - theelderly and those with heart problems already, say experts.

In the BMJ study, researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicineanalysed data on over 84,000 patients admitted to hospital with a heartattack between 2003 and 2006 and compared this with daily temperaturesin England and Wales.

They found that a 1C reduction in average daily temperature was linked with a cumulative 2% increase in risk of heart attack for 28days, even in the summer.

Although a 2% increase in risk may sound small for any given individual, for the population of the UK it equates to 200 extra heartattacks a day, say the researchers.

Most of the casualties were people in their 70s and 80s, but people who had been taking aspirin long-term appeared to be lessvulnerable for some reason.

The researchers speculate that the cold may make blood more prone to clotting, and that this raises heart attack risk.

It would also explain why the blood-thinning drug aspirin might offer some protection.

Lead researcher Krishnan Bhaskaran and his team say further studies need to be conducted to see what measures could be used to avoidthe increased risk, such as advising patients, particularly theelderly, to wear suitable clothing and to heat their homes sufficiently.

Last year's low temperatures saw the highest number of "excess deaths" - the number of those who perished over and above whatis normal for the time of year - for nearly a decade.

The 36,000 "excess deaths" in England and Wales during the winter of 2008/09 represented a rise of nearly 50% from the previousyear.

In an accompanying editorial in the BMJ, Dr Paola Michelozzi and Manuela De Sario, of the LazioRegion Department of Epidemiology in Rome, say although rising globaltemperatures will bring some health benefits, such as lower cold-relatedmortality, any benefits will be outweighed by the health risks linkedto heatwaves.

"Actions to reduce greenhouse gases based on lifestyle changes at the population and individual level may have substantialbenefits for health and climate protection.

"For example, lowering saturated fat intake by reducing consumption of animal products is a healthy food choice recommended inprevention guidelines for coronary heart disease and a recognisedstrategy to reduce greenhouse gas emission," they say.

Ellen Mason, of the British Heart Foundation, said: "Although the increased risk is small, if there is a nationwide drop in averagetemperature it could equate to a significant number of heart attackseach day.
